Dr. L. Michael Blevins, the esteemed Senior Pastor of Morris Cathedral Church of God in Christ, epitomizes a life dedicated to spiritual leadership, care, and education. A native of Mansfield, Ohio, Dr. Blevins' journey is marked by resilience and distinction. His formative years saw him excel as a student-athlete at Morehouse College, earning several All-American honors in Track & Field, a testament to his discipline and ambition. Carrying his commitment to excellence forward, Dr. Blevins graduated from Ohio Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management in 2011.
His passion for spiritual enrichment led him to pursue a Master of Divinity degree, which he was awarded by The Interdenominational Theological Center – Charles Harrison Mason Theological Seminary in Atlanta, GA, in 2014. Driven by an unwavering call to deepening his theological and ministerial acumen, Dr. Blevins further achieved a Doctor of Ministry degree from the same prestigious institution in 2021. As a spiritual care clinician and educator, Dr. Blevins’ vitality and visionary leadership touch the lives of a diverse congregation, spanning various faiths and cultures. His mission is to promote spiritual growth, community engagement, and transformative worship.
